Mark Lockett Promoted to 5th Dan

A truly awesome achievement as Mark Lockett was successfully promoted to 

Senior Technical Officer 5th Dan: Godan : (第五段の五段)

Mark worked very hard to achieve this and its a true testament to his commitment for continuing his development within this loved Martial Art.

Our International competition was a huge success.  In the breaking board competition, it was Joshua Bagshaw from Katana Jiu Jitsu Club that won the trophy.  

Over 120 students entered the competion and we are very proud that one of our members was successful and broke the toughest board.

We will be back again in April 2015 and hopefully we will defend our title.

Liam Grabs Golden Glove Award

 Liam King had a very impressive Golden Glove awarded to him for outstanding punches in a recent competition.  Sensei Riley said "Liam has been very consistent with great punches. Well done Liam"

Grading as usual will be held at Middleton Arena

and begins at 9.30am.

Just a reminder that the Junior Black belts and Gold tabs will be graded in Liverpool at the

WJJF headquarters on

Saturday 12th March. 

Registration commences at 8.45.

Flying Kick Winner!!

Congratulations to Joshua Mitton who won the Flying Kick competition over at Oldham.

Joshua beat his fellow students then went on to defeat a prefect to win his medal.

Joshua continues to show excellent Jiu-Jitsu and his Flying Kick award complements this.

Joshua was presented with his medal by Sensei W.Riley.

Well done Joshua, keep up the hard work.

Junior Black Belts

Fifteen of our Junior Black Belts descended on the World Ju-Jitsu Federation Headquarters for their Grading.  Another ten went for their gold tabs.  A great day and excellent Ju Jitsu was shown by all.

The next grading date will be held at

 and will commence at 9.30am

This will be grading for White Belt to Brown Belt and Kobudo

This includes Juniors and Seniors.

Mock Gradings will be announced closer to the event.
